Heads-Up: Microsoft is planning to remove Cortana from Windows

Posted on June 4, 2023

If you’re a Windows user you’re probably familiar with Cortana, the personal assistant that Microsoft added to Windows beginning with the initial 2015 release of Windows 10.

Add a Group Policy Editor to any version of Windows

Posted on March 31, 2023

If you’ve ever used a Pro or Enterprise edition of Microsoft Windows you probably know those editions come with a handy tool called the Group Policy Editor, or GPedit for short.

This is irritating me to no end. Is there any way to remove that Weather icon from the Taskbar? [Read more…]

For example, I find myself creating a lot of System Restore Points on my PC so I created a handy desktop shortcut that creates a new Restore Point every time I click on it.

This particular shortcut makes it easy for me to quickly create a Restore Point at any time without having to wade through a series of menus.  [Read more…]

Posted on February 28, 2023

Does your Windows PC keep disconnecting from the Internet at random times?

Or perhaps your web browser frequently slows to a crawl or completely freezes up even though it appears that you still have a normal connection?

Or maybe you just get the feeling that your Internet or local network connection just isn’t working as well as it should?

These types of issues are often due to a glitch or an incorrect setting in your PC’s network adapter settings. If you’re experiencing any type of connectivity problem a simple Network Reset just might fix it in a jiffy.  [Read more…]
