Posted on March 29, 2016

Windows-10-logoIf you’re running Windows 10 on your PC, you might not be aware of it but you’re probably sharing your Wi-Fi connection with literally thousands of people you don’t even personally know.

Yep, you read that right. A new Windows 10 feature called Wi-Fi Sense gives everyone on your Facebook Friends List along with all of your Outlook.com and Skype contacts complete access to your wireless network.  [Read more…]

Posted on March 15, 2016

Windows-10-logoLivid users are hitting social media in droves to complain after finding that their PCs have been automatically updated to Windows 10 without their knowledge or permission.

Until recently a user would have to intentionally click their approval before the Windows 10 update would be installed on his/her system, but that’s no longer the case for users who have Windows set to install updates automatically.  [Read more…]

Q&A: How can I remove old Wi-Fi networks from my laptop in Windows 10?

Posted on February 19, 2016

Windows-10-logoQuestion from Cindy P.:  I love your blog Rick, and I really appreciate all the great info you provide.

I’ve been following RicksDailyTips for a long time, and now I have question for you.

My company is expanding rapidly and I’ve spent the last 5 months travelling from city to city helping train all the new hires in our stores.

Can you tell me how to do that? My laptop is a Dell and it’s running Windows 10.
