Free giveaway hoaxes are nothing new to Facebook, and several of the most annoying ones seem to pop up over and over again.
Unfortunately, one of the most enticing giveaway hoaxes ever is currently making the rounds yet again.
This one is being spread by unsuspecting users sharing a hoax Facebook post claiming that anyone that shares the post will receive a free large Domino’s pizza.

As you probably know, interest rates are extremely low due right now due to the Fed’s actions in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
And that of course has drastically lowered the amount of interest that most retirees are drawing on their interest-bearing retirement accounts.
Millions of retirees live at least partially off the interest earned from those types of accounts, and a great percentage of them depend on earned interest for the bulk of their retirement income.
To be sure, many retirees are hurting hurting financially right now.
Unfortunately, the desperation shared by many of our retirees has made them a prime target for scammers.

As you probably know, lots of celebrities use Facebook to keep in touch with their fans and share news of upcoming events with them.
Unfortunately, lots of scammers are busy piggy-backing off the success of those celebrities by cloning their accounts and using those fake accounts to scam the celebrities’ fans.
One of the scammers’ favorite targets is Ellen DeGeneres because of her well-known penchant for giving things away, both on her show and via her social media accounts. [Read more…]
