A while back I wrote a post explaining how to delete your entire search history that Google has collected and stored since the moment you began using their service way back when.
Several of you have since written in and asked me if there’s a way to prevent Google from gathering and storing that information in the first place? Well, the answer to that question is yes.
Google has built tons of nifty features into their popular search engine that do a lot more than just help folks find things on the Internet.
A couple of great examples are their instant instant weather snapshot and their handy dictionary service (simply type define:word into the search box, where word is the term you want to have defined).

When it was first released, Microsoft’s Edge web browser used Bing as its default search engine, and there was no way to change it.
Well, Edge still comes with Bing set as the default search engine, but you can now switch it to Google or one of several other popular search engines.
If you like using Edge but would prefer to search with something other than Bing, you can follow the steps below to change the default search engine to the one you like best. Just follow the steps that match the device you are using. [Read more…]
Have you ever done a Google search on a topic only to discover that most of the search results consisted of pages that were created years ago?
That isn’t always a problem when searching for “facts” because many facts just don’t change over time.
For example, if you type largest planet in our solar system into Google, the answer you receive should be Jupiter whether the article you click on was written in 1998 or 2023. After all, Jupiter hasn’t gotten smaller and the other planets haven’t grown any larger.
On the other hand, if you search for latest medical research some of the pages returned by Google could possibly be woefully out of date.

Do you receive a lot of packages via UPS, FedEx or the U.S. Postal Service?
If so you’re no doubt familiar with the process of tracking your packages via the handy tools on those carriers’ respective websites.
It’s actually pretty easy to track a package: Simply visit the shipping company’s website and type (or copy and paste) the tracking number into the form on the tracking page.
But what if the person shipping the item to you didn’t mention how it was shipped?
