Q&A: How do I stop Opera from opening a new tab when I open it?
Question from Gene: I use Chrome for most everything but I always open Facebook in Opera.
Every time I open Opera it opens Facebook by default (which is what I want), but it also always opens a new tab as the active tab.
I have to always click the X to close that new tab in order to see the Facebook tab.

How to quickly eliminate Facebook’s most irritating annoyances
Do you use Facebook on a laptop or desktop computer?
If so, you’re probably familiar with one or more of these common annoyances:
- You keep seeing the same ads over and over again, many (or even most) of which might even be scams
- Political posts (and the arguments they generate) get your blood boiling
- You receive an important message from someone who isn’t on your friends list but Facebook hides it from you by placing it in the “New Message Requests” folder
- One of your Facebook friends “unfriends” you but you don’t find out about it until much later because Facebook didn’t let you know that your friend had unfriended you

Scam alert: Beware this ‘Free Buffalo Wild Wings Gift Card’ scam
The scammers never seem to take a break from Facebook, and right now they’re targeting folks who enjoy eating at Buffalo Wild Wings.
This is simply a new take on the ubiquitous “free gift card” scams that are always popping up on Facebook.
There are several variations of this scam going around, but all the ones I’ve seen are claiming that Buffalo Wild Wings will give you a coupon good for 50 free wings simply for sharing and commenting on that Facebook post. [Read more…]
