In my opinion Windows 10 is the best version of Windows that Microsoft has ever released. It’s visually appealing, and for the most part it seems to work flawlessly.
As with every version of Windows, there are a few tweaks you can make to your Windows 10 installation that can greatly reduce your system’s startup time and make it run faster overall.
I could give you step-by-step instructions for making these changes, but I found a fantastic short video by James (The Tutorial Guru) that shows how to make them very quickly and easily. Check it out below:
That’s all there is to it. After you make the changes suggested in the video and reboot your PC you should notice a significant reduction in boot times and (hopefully) a noticeable increase in system performance.
If you’re new to Windows or you’d like to learn how to use Windows 10 like an expert, I recommend a fantastic book called Windows 10 All-in-One For Dummies.
Don’t let the name of the book fool you. This volume is absolutely packed with tons of great tips and instructions for using virtually every feature of Windows 10 and tweaking it to your liking.
As with all “Dummies” books, this one is written in straightforward, easy to understand language without a bunch of incomprehensible tech jargon.
