Have you ever wished you could schedule a text message to be sent at a future date and time?
I have, and there are plenty of situations where such a capability would come in handy.
For example, let’s say you have a friend whose birthday is coming up in a few days and you want to make sure you don’t forget to send him a “Happy Birthday” text.
Or perhaps you need to remind your wife about an upcoming doctor appointment but you’re afraid you might forget about it yourself before the appointment date arrives.
A great free Android app called ‘Do It Later’ will allow you to schedule SMS text messages to be sent at a later date and time.
Do It Later is very easy to use and extremely lightweight, which means it won’t slow down your phone or drain your battery reserve.
You can read more about ‘Do It Later’ and download it to your Android phone at the Google Play Store.
Bottom line: ‘Do It Later’ makes it easy to schedule one or more text messages to be delivered at the date and time of your choosing. It’s a fantastic app, and it’s free!
Bonus tip #1: Unfortunately, there are no iPhone apps available for scheduling the automatic future delivery of text messages unless you’re willing to ‘jailbreak’ your iPhone (which I strongly recommend that you not do).
However, there’s an app called ‘SMS Scheduler‘ that will send you a reminder when it’s time to send a text to someone. Click here to check it out at the app store.
