Today’s quick tech tip….
How to quickly save a Gmail attachment to Google Drive
Do you use Gmail as your email client? If so, chances are you use Google Drive’s web storage service as well.
If that’s the case I’m going to explain how to quickly save the attachments you receive in your Gmail messages directly to Google Drive in order to avoid cluttering up your local PC or mobile device. Just follow the steps below for the device you’re using.
If you use Gmail in a web browser on a laptop or desktop computer:
1 – Log into your Gmail account and open the message containing the attachment you want to save to Google Drive.
2 – Hover your mouse over the attachment until a row of icons pops up, then click the triangle-shaped icon in the middle.
3 – Wait for the message confirming that the attachment has been saved to Google Drive to appear.
If you use the Gmail app on a mobile device:
1 – Log into your Gmail account and open the message containing the attachment you want to save to Google Drive.
2 – Tap the triangle-shaped icon on the far-right side of the blue bar underneath the attachment.
That’s all there is to it. Now you know how to quickly save a Gmail attachment to your Google Drive cloud storage.
