Warning: Over 600 Million Samsung Galaxy smart phones are vulnerable to hackers

Posted on June 23, 2015

galaxy-s6Do you own a Samsung Galaxy S4, S5 or S6?

If so, there’s a good chance that a flaw in your phone’s keyboard software has left your phone vulnerable to a hacking attack.

Fortunately, the vulnerability seems to only be an issue when the phone is connected to the Internet via an unsecured Wi-Fi connection.

Samsung is working on a patch for the flaw, and they plan to release it immediately once it is ready. Until then, you should avoid connecting your phone to an unsecured Wi-Fi network.

(For what it’s worth, I recommend NEVER using an unsecured Wi-Fi network anyway just to be on the safe side).

If you own a Samsung Galaxy S4, S5 or S6, I recommend installing the patch just as soon as you receive a notification telling you that it’s ready.

If you found this post useful, I hope you’ll consider sharing it with your friends. Thanks!
