Today’s Quick Tip….
How to ‘crop’ a screenshot before you even capture it
You probably know you can snap a “picture” of all or part of your computer screen.
These “pictures” are called screenshots, and they can be incredibly handy.
What you might not know is you can easily “crop” a screenshot before you even take it in order to capture the exact section of the screen you want to include in your screenshot image.
Follow these instructions if you have a Mac:
1 – Press the Command+Shift+5 key combination.
2 – Click the icon that looks like a rectangle made of dashed lines.
3 – Drag the edges of the rectangle to enclose just the part of the screen you want to capture.
4 – Click Capture.
Follow these instructions if you have a PC running Windows 10:
1 – Press the Windows+Shift+S key combination.
2 – Use your mouse to place the + (plus sign) at the top-left corner of the section of the screen you want to capture a screenshot of (don’t release the mouse button).
3 – Drag the mouse downward and to the right until the box covers the entire area of the screen you wish to capture, then release the mouse button.
