Today’s Quick Tip….
Reminder: You don’t need to buy an expensive HDMI cable.
The next time you purchase a TV, a video game console, a monitor or any other device that requires an HDMI cable make sure you don’t fall for a sales pitch concerning the “need” for a better (i.e. more expensive) HDMI cable.
Truth be told, as of today even the most inexpensive HDMI cables will work just fine for most any device you can buy for home use.
Some retailers push their sales staff to upsell customers in order to get them to buy more expensive (and more profitable) cables when their budget counterparts will work just as well.
Yes, some devices that require a better quality cable, but the difference is in technology, not necessarily price.
For example, if you decide to purchase an 8K TV you’ll need to purchase an Ultra High-Speed HDMI Cable, but you don’t need the most expensive Ultra High-Speed HDMI Cable they have.
Just do your own research and find out which type of HDMI cable you need for the device you’re going to buy, then purchase the least expensive cable you can find that meets the required specs.
As you’re sure to find out, the price differences can be substantial.
