Today’s Quick Tip….
How to stop an app from launching automatically on your Mac
Do you have one or more apps that automatically open every time you start up your Mac or log in?
If you don’t use one of those auto-launching apps you can free up some valuable system resources (and potentially speed up your Mac) by disabling the auto-launching feature for that app. Here’s how:
1 – Click the Apple icon on the top Menu bar.
2 – Click System Preferences.
3 – Click Users & Groups.
4 – Click Login Items.
You should now see a list of all the apps that are set to launch automatically on startup.
To remove an app from the list simply highlight it and click the minus button located beneath the list.
That’s all there is to it. That app should no longer start up automatically when you boot up your Mac or log in.
