Today’s Quick Tip….
Is your Bookmarks bar getting crowded with dozens of bookmarks that you really need to keep, but only use on rare occasions?
You can clear up a lot of that clutter by moving groups of related bookmarks into folders. When you need to access one of those bookmarks you just open the relevant folder and click on the bookmark in question.
Here’s how to create a bookmark folder in Google Chrome:
1 – Right-click on a blank area of the Bookmarks bar and click Add folder.
2 – Follow the prompts as they appear.
And here’s how to create a new Booksmarks folder in Firefox:
1 – Right-click on a blank area of the Bookmarks bar and select New folder.
2 – Follow the prompts as they appear.
In either browser, give the new folder a descriptive name so you’ll have an idea of what kind of bookmarks are in it. Then drag all the rarely used bookmarks that fall into that category into the folder.
And by the way, you can add as many new folders to your Bookmarks bar as you need.
