Today’s Quick Tip….
If you have a MacBook or a Mac desktop computer it’s very important that you keep it updated with the latest security updates.
The thing is, these updates can easily go unnoticed for several days or more after they become available.
The good news is you can check for new updates every couple of days and install them manually. Just follow the steps below:
1 – Click the Apple icon on the Menu bar.
2 – Click System Preferences.
3 – Click Software Update.
4 – If you see an “Update Now” button that means there’s a new update waiting to be installed.
If so, click Update Now to initiate the update procedure and then follow the prompts as they appear.
If you don’t see an “Update Now” button that means your Mac is already up to date and there is nothing for you to install at this time.
5 – (Optional) You can check the Automatically keep my Mac up to date option to have your Mac install updates automatically from now on.
