Have you ever considered the convenience of having a 1680 joule surge protector plus a 4 port USB charger built right into one standard 120 volt electrical outlet? If so, this is exactly what you need and it won’t cost you a small fortune.
I’ve been using several Qinlianf 5-Outlet Surge Protector and 4-Port USB Wall Chargers in my home and office for years and I’ve recommended them several times as the featured tech gadget in my newsletter, but it just occurred to me this morning that I have never written a formal review of them. Well, here you go…
As I mentioned above, I’ve been using (and loving) these for years. Here’s why:
1 – It takes just a few seconds to install one. Simply remove the screw and cover plate from any standard wall outlet, then plug this device into the outlet and secure it using the long screw that’s included in the package.
2 – The five 120 volt electrical outlets, the two USB-A and two USB-C charging ports are all protected by a 1680 joule surge suppressor.
3 – It has a green light in the center that indicates that the surge protection is still working. If the green light ever stops glowing that will mean the surge suppression is no long working and it’s time to replace the unit. For what it’s worth, I’ve been using four of these for over three years and they are all still working great.
4 – Everything is self-contained in one compact device that’s permanently mounted right to the electrical outlet. How’s that for convenience?
I love everything about these Qinlianf devices, but there is one downside that might well apply to you depending on your personal preference: The USB-C charging ports are not fast-charging devices. All four charging ports are standard-speed chargers.
Personally, I don’t find the lack of fast-charging capability to be an issue because I’m completely satisfied with standard-speed charging, but it you really must have the ability to fast-charge your devices you’ll want to skip this item and go with a different charger.
Bottom line: There really isn’t a lot more to say about this little gem except that I love it because of the convenience it offers (again, I’m not at all concerned with being able to fast-charge my devices).
If you feel the same way, I strongly recommend that you get one for yourself and give it a try. In fact, you might want to get several so you’ll have one beside your favorite living room chair, your office desk, your nightstand or any other place in your home or office where you need multiple surge-protected outlets and a handy charger.
I have never been disappointed with these little gems and I don’t believe you will be either.
