Today’s Quick Tip….
ATTN Chase Bank customers: Scammers are after you big time!
Do you have an account with Chase Bank? If so, be on the lookout for an ever-increasing number of phishing attempts.
According to the experts at Internet Security firm Cyren, Chase customers are now among the most targeted consumers on the planet, ranking just behind users of Microsoft 365.
As usual, these Chase-related phishing attempts are primarily being distributed via email and SMS text messages.
If you receive an email or text that appears to be from Chase Bank, do not click any links or call any phone number that’s contained in the message.
Instead, visit the Chase Bank website directly via a known-good URL or browser bookmark and log into your account from there. Just use the same URL you always use to log into your account and you should be fine.
If there really is something you need to take care of – or be aware of – you’ll be alerted to that fact as soon as you log in.
If you don’t even have an account with Chase Bank you’ll know right away that any emails or messages you receive that appears to be from them is a fake.
