Today’s quick tech tip….
How to hide the Taskbar on your Windows PC
Personally, I prefer keeping the Taskbar on my Windows PCs in view at all times, but some folks find it distracting.
If you happen to be one of them you can easily tell Windows to hide the Taskbar from view until you actually need to use it. Just follow the steps below for your version of Windows.
Windows 10:
1 – Right-click on a blank area of the Taskbar and select Taskbar settings from the menu.
2 – Toggle the “Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode” to On.
Windows 11:
1 – Right-click on a blank area of the Taskbar and select Taskbar settings from the menu.
2 – In the right-hand pane, click Taskbar behaviors.
3 – Check the box beside Automatically hide the taskbar.
That’s all there is to it. The Taskbar should no longer be visible on your screen.
When you need to use the Taskbar simply move your pointer to the very bottom of the screen and it will automatically reappear.
If you ever decide you want to have the Taskbar in view at all times again, simply repeat the steps you followed above and disable the “Hide the Taskbar” feature.
