Monthly Tech Giveaway….
Long-time subscribers to my daily Rick’s Tech Tips Newsletter will remember that I used to feature a monthly Tech Gadget Giveaway that all active subscribers were eligible to win.
I ended up having to suspend that giveaway due to the onset of the Covid pandemic, but now is the time to bring it back – better than ever.
The prizes featured in the new giveaway will include a combination of items I received for testing and review and brand new items that will provided directly by partner companies.
Winners will be selected at random. All Standard subscribers have an equal chance to win. All Premium subscribers have two chances (their email addresses are added to the pot twice).
November’s winner will receive a Brother DCPL2550DW Multifunction Monochrome Laser Printer, Scanner and Copier. Click here for details.

Today’s featured tech tip….
How to quickly find any archived email
If you’re like me you probably have hundreds, or even thousands of old emails archived in your email account.
Have you ever tried to go back and find a specific email that you received at some point in the past?
If so, you probably felt like you were searching for the proverbial needle in a haystack, especially if you received several emails from that same sender.
Well here’s a little tip that can help you quickly find virtually any past email from virtually any sender: use your email app’s Search box.
That’s right, every email service and app has a search tool that you can use to quickly find a specific email, regardless of how long it’s been since you received it.
Most of those search tools will let you type anything in there that might be of help in finding an email.
For example, do you know the sender’s name or email address? Type that in and it’ll narrow your search down to just the emails from that one sender.
Do you remember any specific keywords/phrases that would have been in the email, such as “reunion” or “meeting with Bob Smith”?
If so, those keywords/phrases will likely take you right to the specific email you’re searching for.
I recommend that you take a little time to experiment with your email Search box. Type in a few things and see what comes up.
Once you become proficient at crafting your searches you’ll never again have to spend half an hour or more sifting through your Inbox and other email folders just to find one archived email.
