Hello again everyone. I hope you all had a great week!
I write about Windows 10 fairly often, and while I happen to like it a lot, I realize that many of my readers don’t really care for it.
If you have installed the Windows 10 update on your PC (or Windows Update installed it for you) and you simply don’t like it, you have several options for getting rid of it:
1 – If it’s been less than 30 days since the Windows 10 update was installed on your PC, you can roll the system back to your previous version of Windows. This post explains how to do it.
2 – If your PC was updated from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 more than 30 days ago, you can purchase a Windows 8.1 installation disc and re-install Windows 8.1 from scratch. Just be sure to back up your files before you start the installation process.
3 – If your PC was updated from Windows 7 to Windows 10 more than 30 days ago, you can purchase a Windows 7 installation disc and re-install Windows 7 from scratch. This post explains how you can get a Windows 7 DVD for about $40.
Note: If you decide to go back to either Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, this post explains how to prevent Windows Update from installing the Windows 10 update again.
4 – You can ditch Windows altogether and install Linux for free. Read this post for all the details.
