Today’s quick tech tip….
How to change the default tab in Windows’ Task Manager
If you frequently use the Windows Task Manager you’ve probably noticed how it always opens with the “Processes” tab selected by default.
And in my opinion that’s a good thing because I consider “Processes” to be the most useful (and my most frequently used) tab in the entire tool.
That being said, lots of folks like to view the “Performance” tab every they open the Task Manager.
If you have a favorite tab that you view every time you open the Task Manager you can easily set that tab as the default. Here’s how:
1 – Open the Task Manager.
2 – Select Options from the top (File) menu.
3 – Click Set default tab and then select the tab you want to automatically open every time you launch the Task Manager.
That’s all there is to it. From now on the Task Manager on your PC should always open with your preferred tab already selected.
