Today’s Quick Tip….
Hide your sensitive photos and videos with the Google Photos app
If you use the Google Photos app on your Android phone and you have photos and/or videos that you’d rather others didn’t see, Google now lets you hide place them in a locked folder that’s only accessible by entering the phone’s unlock passcode.
What’s more, once a file is placed in a ‘locked folder’ it’s completely hidden and inaccessible by any apps that normally have access to your photos and videos.
Right now this Locked Folder feature is only available on Android devices via the Google Photos app, but Google is planning to roll it out to iPhone users as well sometime during the first half of 2022.
If you’d like to place a locked folder on your Android phone and move your sensitive files into it, you’ll find step-by-step instructions right here.
Again, this handy feature should be coming to iPhones real soon.
