Today’s Quick Tip….
How to remotely log out of Facebook on all devices at once
Do you use Facebook on more than one device? If so, there’s always a chance that you could still be logged into your Facebook account on one or more of them.
For example, what if you forgot to log out of Facebook on your work computer before you left to go home at the end of the day?
Or what if you recently borrowed someone else’s device to access Facebook but forgot to log out before you gave it back it to them?
As you can imagine, situations like those have the potential to be major security risks.
Luckily, Facebook provides a way to quickly log out of your account on every device you’re currently logged in with in one fell swoop. Just follow the steps below for the device you’re using.
If you’re using Facebook in a web browser on a laptop or desktop computer:
1 – Click the down arrow at the far-right side of the top menu bar.
2 – Click Settings & privacy.
3 – Click Settings.
4 – In the left-hand pane, click Security and Login.
5 – Find the “Where You’re Logged In” section and click Log Out Of All Sessions.
Note: If you don’t see the “Log Out Of All Sessions” option, click See More.
If you’re using the Facebook app on a mobile device:
1 – Tap the Menu icon (it looks like three horizontal lines stacked atop one another).
2 – Scroll down and tap Settings & Privacy.
3 – Tap Settings.
4 – Tap Password and Security.
5 – Find the “Where you’re logged in” section and tap Log Out Of All Sessions.
Note: If you don’t see the “Log Out Of All Sessions” option, tap See all.
That’s all there is to it. You should now be logged out of Facebook on every device that you were previously logged with.
