Question from Deborah: Hi, Rick. I have a question for you.
Is there a way to listen to Pandora without WiFi or Internet?
I mow 4 acres of grass and it sure does get boring.
Rick’s answer: I know exactly what you mean, Deborah.
I have a fairly large yard to mow too, and it really does get a little boring while I’m making all those rounds on the mower.
I usually try to take advantage of that time to “brainstorm” ideas for upcoming blog posts, but that can get boring as well.
To answer your question, Pandora does have an Offline Mode that lets you download three stations (of Pandora’s choice) to your device via WiFi and then listen to them offline at a later time.
Once you initiate the download procedure Pandora will select up to three of your stations and download the music for those stations to your device.
Of course you’ll need enough free space on the device to hold the downloaded music files, and Pandora will stop downloading additional songs when/if it gets to the point where there is only 500MB of free space left on the device.
Just be aware that this special Offline Mode isn’t available for those on the free plan (which is what I have).
You’ll need to be a subscriber to one of their paid plans in order to use it.
If you’re interested in taking advantage of Pandora’s Offline mode you’ll find all the details right here.
I hope this helps, Deborah. Good luck!
