Today’s featured tech tip….
This tip will make editing text on your phone a lot easier
Have you ever noticed how hard it is to precisely position the cursor when you need to edit a block of text on your smartphone?
Whether you’re trying to fix a typo in a text message or add a word in the middle of an email or Facebook post you’re composing, trying to position the cursor by “tapping” can be an exercise in frustration.
Well, I’m going to share a little tip that can make the editing process a lot easier.
The next time you’re typing on your smartphone and you need to make an edit, do the following:
1 – Tap on the text as close as possible to the place where you want the cursor to be positioned.
2 – Place your finger on the virtual keyboard’s Space Bar and hold it there.
3 – Without removing your finger, slide it left or right along the Space Bar and you’ll see the cursor move right along with it.
4 – Just keep sliding your finger left or right until the cursor is in the desired location, then remove your finger.
Pretty simple, right? Now you know how to easily and quickly place the cursor exactly where you want it when editing text on your smartphone.
