Today’s quick tech tip….
How to quickly find a word or phrase on a long web page
Have you ever tried to find a specific word or phrase on a really long, and cluttered web page?
If so, you probably ended up either reading the entire page or scanning the content several times before you found the word or phrase you were looking for.
But guess what? There’s a much simpler (and much faster) way to find what you’re looking for: just search for it. Here’s how:
1 – Open the page you want to search in your favorite web browser.
2 – Press the Ctrl+F key combination on your PC (or Command+F on your Mac), then type the word or phrase you’re looking for into the search box.
3 – Quickly scan the page looking for one or more highlighted words. The highlighted text will be the word or phrase you’re looking for.
4 – To find the next occurrence of the target word or phrase, just click the little down arrow in the search box.
5 – Repeat step 4 until you have found every occurrence of the search term on the current page.
Note: You can also “back up” to the previous occurrence of the search term by clicking the little up arrow.
