Today’s quick tech tip….
How to resize the Start menu in Windows 10/11
When you open the Start menu on your PC is it too small to hold all the icons you’d like to display on it?
Or perhaps you feel that it’s too large because it ‘hides’ too much of the Desktop?
Well, you can change the height and width of the Start menu to adjust it more to your liking.
If your PC is running Windows 10 this couldn’t be easier…
1 – Either press the Windows key or click the Start button to open the Start menu.
2 – Move your mouse to the top edge of the Start menu until the pointer changes into a double arrow, then click and drag the mouse either up or down until the Start menu is the height you want.
3 – Move your mouse to the right edge of the Start menu until the pointer changes into a double arrow, then click and drag the mouse either left or right until the Start menu is the width you want.
That’s all there is to resizing the Start menu in Windows 10.
Unfortunately, it’s a bit more complicated in Windows 11…
For whatever reason Microsoft removed the option to resize the Start menu altogether when they designed the latest version Windows.
But the above being said, if you really want to resize the Start menu on your Windows 11 PC you can, but you’ll have to lay out a few bucks for a handy little third-party tool called Start11.
Start11 will let you resize your Start menu in a jiffy. And as a bonus, it’ll also let you make several other useful adjustments to the Start menu that simply aren’t available in Windows 11 by itself.

Whether you like an old song or not probably depends on the memories you attach to it
Does hearing an old song on the radio bring back pleasant memories? If so, chances are you really like that song.
However, if the song brings back bad memories you’d probably rather just change the station.
