Today’s quick tech tip….
Q&A: What’s the best antivirus program for a Mac?
Question from Louise: I’ve been a Windows user for years but I recently bought my first Mac.
My question is what’s the best antivirus program for a Mac? I’m just getting started with mine and I don’t even know what’s available.
Rick’s answer: It’s good that you want to protect your new Mac with antivirus protection, Louise.
While Mac’s still aren’t targeted nearly as often as Windows PCs, there are more nasties targeting them each and every year.
While other techs might disagree (and I’m sure plenty will), in my humble opinion you’d be hard-pressed to find an app that provides better protection than Malwarebytes Premium for Mac.
Just as it has done for Windows PCs over the years, Malwarebytes does an excellent job at protecting Macs from virus infections as well as other types of malware that most regular antivirus apps don’t even check for.
I believe it will do a great job for you.
