Today’s featured tech tip….
How to quickly copy a URL to your computer’s clipboard
Do you ever need to copy the URL to a web page you’re viewing to your computer’s Clipboard so you can either send it to someone or post a link to that page?
If so, you probably use your mouse to highlight the URL in the browser’s address bar, then right-click on the selected URL and click Copy.
But what if I told you there’s a much faster and easier way simply by using your keyboard instead of the mouse?
The next time you need to copy a web page’s URL to the Clipboard, try this…
If you have a Windows PC:
1 – Press the Ctrl+L key combination to immediately highlight (i.e. select) the URL that’s currently displayed in the address bar.
2 – Now press Ctrl+C to copy the highlighted URL to the Clipboard.
If you have a Mac:
Press Command+L followed by Command+C.
That’s all there is to it. With just two quick keyboard shortcuts you have copied the currently displayed page’s URL to the Clipboard. Now you can paste it wherever you want it.
