Today’s featured tech tip….
Reduce your cellular data usage by tweaking Facebook
Do you often have issues with using up your monthly cellular data allotment before the end of the month rolls around?
If so, Facebook has several handy settings that can help by allowing you to change how the app uses cellular data. Here’s how to find those settings on your smartphone or tablet:
Note: The steps below may vary according to the device you’re using and/or the version of the Facebook app that’s currently installed on it. Therefore, you should use these steps as a general guide.
1 – Tap your profile picture avatar in the corner of the screen.
2 – Scroll down and tap Settings & privacy.
3 – Tap Settings.
4 – Scroll down to the “Preferences” section and tap Media.
You should now see a list of options that you can either uncheck or disable. Every option you uncheck or disable will result in the app using less cellular data.
5 – Either uncheck or disable every option you don’t really need to use.
That’s all there is to it. You should now start noticing reduced cellular data usage by your Facebook app.
