Apple has just announced a critical security flaw in both iOS (on smart phones, tablets and iPods) and OSX (on laptops and desktop computers).
This threat has been classified as severe because the flaw can allow hackers to see and intercept your encrypted web traffic under certain circumstances.
This security threat only applies to devices running certain versions of iOS (including iOS 7), but it’s very easy to see if it applies to yours. Here’s how:
Just tap the Settings icon and look for the number 1 in red. If you see a red 1, that means an update is available. If so, tap the red 1, then tap Software Update followed by Install Now.
At this time there is no update available to fix the flaw in OSX, but one should be available very soon.
As with all security alerts, I ask that you share this on Facebook to make sure your friends find out about it ASAP.
