Do you ever have guests over to your home who ask to access your secure Wi-Fi connection? Depending on the guests, it can be a little uncomfortable handing over the password to your Wi-Fi network. Well, now you don’t have to if both you and your guests use Android devices.
Instabridge is a free Android app that allows you to invite guests to use your secure Wi-Fi connection without having to give them your network password. Here’s how it works:
1 – Each friend downloads and installs the free Instabridge app onto his/her Android phone or tablet. (You will need the app on your Android device as well.)
2 – You send your friend an invitation to use your Wi-Fi network via the app.
3 – Your friend is then able to securely connect to your network without having to enter the password. All of his/her Internet activities are completed in secure, encrypted mode (they were actually “logged in” to the secure network by the app).
Your friends will be able to access your Wi-Fi network throughout the duration of their visit, and if they visit again in the future their Android devices will be automatically connected to the network. And the best thing is they will never have to know your password.
If at any time you change your mind about allowing them to access your network, you can revoke their permission to connect at any time right from your smart phone or tablet!
Instabridge can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store.
