HP laptops have served me well over the years, and I’m always eager to check out the new models when they become available.
Today I’m going to be discussing the HP Pavilion 17-e079nr, a full-featured laptop that offers a lot of power and plenty of great features for the money.
The Pavilion 17-e079nr comes with a stunning 17.3 inch color display and an AMD A8 Quad Core CPU, which together make for an excellent user experience even when watching DVDs and playing games. You’ll also find the large screen quite enjoyable when surfing the Internet, checking email, and performing most any visually challenging task.
An especially nice feature not found on many laptops is a full size keyboard, complete with a numeric keypad. I realize that most people don’t really give the size of the keyboard or the existence of a numeric keypad a second thought when considering a laptop, but they sure come in handy when touch-typing and/or working with spreadsheets and performing other number-intensive tasks.
In addition to the above mentioned large screen, fast CPU and full size keyboard, the HP Pavilion 17-e079nr laptop also includes the following:
– AMD Radeon HD 7640G Graphics Coprocessor for discrete-class graphics performance
– 6 GB DDR3L SDRAM
– 750 GB hard drive
– SuperMulti DVD burner
– 802.11bgn Wireless LAN
– 1 USB 2.0 Port
– 2 USB 3.0 Ports
– Lithium ion battery with 5 hour battery life
– Windows 8 operating system (upgradable to Windows 8.1 for free!)
Bottom line: If you’re looking for a fast, reliable laptop at a price that won’t break the bank, I believe the HP Pavilion 17-e079nr is definitely worth a hard look.
