Question from Claire: I use Gmail and when I click “Compose” button to write a new email the text box has always been centered in the Gmail window.
But this morning when I opened Gmail and clicked “Compose” the box opened in the lower right corner of the window.
I tried clicking on the title bar and dragging the box back to the center of the window, but it won’t budge.
I don’t like having the “Compose New Email” box way down there in the corner. How can I get it back to the center of the window?
Rick’s answer: I prefer having that box in the center of the window as well, Claire. That being said, apparently some people do like having it tucked away in the corner or Google wouldn’t allow it to go down there.
Luckily, it’s very easy to return the “Compose” box back to the center of the Gmail window. Just click the little diagonal double arrow that’s located beside the “X” in the upper right-hand corner of the box.
That’s all there is to it. Your “Compose New Email” box should be back in it’s preferred location in the center of the window.
Update from Claire: That’s so simple. Thanks Rick.
