Today’s Quick Tip….
How to open ‘Task View’ in Windows with the keyboard
Task View is a handy tool that allows you to view large thumbnail representations of every window that’s currently open on your Windows PC and quickly switch to one of those windows using either the mouse or the keyboard.
Task View also allows you to resume working on tasks that you were working on in the past, even if they’re not open on the screen at the moment.
By default, Windows places a Task View button on the Taskbar that you can click any time you want to view the Task View thumbnails, but there are times when it’s better to simply open the Task View with a keyboard shortcut.
For example, you might simply prefer using the keyboard instead of your mouse whenever possible.
Or if you’re like me, you might prefer to keep the Task View button hidden in order to declutter your Taskbar and make more room for other Taskbar items.
Either way, you can use a simple keyboard shortcut to view the Task View thumbnail images at any time…
Simply press the Windows+Tab key combination and they’ll pop right up.
Pressing Windows+Tab again will make them go away.
