Today’s featured tech tip….
How to quickly launch any app on your Mac
Windows users can quickly launch any app on their PC by clicking the Start button and then searching for the app’s name.
And truth be told, that’s often faster than navigating to the app via the menus, especially if you prefer using the keyboard instead of the mouse.
Well, Mac users can do the same thing, although the procedure is slightly different.
Here’s how to use your Mac’s “Spotlight Search” tool to quickly launch any app:
1 – Click the magnifying glass icon at the far-right end of your Mac’s top menu bar to display the Spotlight Search box.
Note: If you prefer using the keyboard, you can also launch the Spotlight Search box by pressing the Command+Space key combination.
2 – Start typing the name of the app you want to launch into the search box.
3 – Select the app you want to launch from the list of search results (in most cases the app you’re searching for will be at or near the top of the list).
That’s all there is to it. The app you selected from the list should now be open on your screen.
