Question from Rita H.: I recently went to Verizon and upgraded my phone to an iPhone 6. I’m glad I did because this is my first iPhone and I love it! I still don’t know a lot about it though.
A friend of mine also has an iPhone 6 and she said her son enabled something called HD Voice on her phone and now her calls sound a lot clearer.
I asked her how to enable it on my phone and she said she doesn’t know. Can you tell me how to do it?
Rick’s answer: I’m glad you like your new phone Rita. The iPhone 6 is great, and I think you’ll be quite happy with it after you get used to it.
To answer your question, it’s not difficult at all to enable HD Voice on the iPhone 6. Here’s how:
1 – Tap Settings
2 – Tap Cellular
3 – Tap Enable LTE
4 – Select Voice and Data
That’s all there is to it. From now on your phone will place your voice calls over the Verizon LTE network instead of the regular cellular network any time you are in a compatible service area.
Any calls that are placed using HD Voice should sound at least a little better than what you’re used to hearing, and some of them should sound a LOT better.
