Creating and maintaining a Facebook group is a great way to exchange ideas, tips and information on a given topic with a community of like-minded Facebook users.
Everyone in the group can contribute and learn from one another while sharing a special sense of belonging. It really can be a fun and enlightening experience.
But what if you create a group that just never really takes off and gains momentum or simply fails to hold your attention for more than a few days?
You can easily delete a group that you control from Facebook, but the way it’s done isn’t exactly common knowledge since there’s no “Delete Group” button and the folks at Facebook don’t really go out of their way to make it easy to figure out how to do it.
If you’re an Admin of a Facebook group and you wish to delete that group, simply follow the steps listed below:
1 – Remove every member of the group except yourself.
2 – After you are the only member left in the group, leave the group yourself.
That’s all there is to it. Once your group’s membership list drops to zero members the group will be automatically deleted (Facebook won’t allow a group to exist unless it has at least one member).
