Today’s Quick Tip….
How to temporarily mute Siri’s voice
If you have an iPhone you probably love the way Siri will respond to your voice prompts when you want your phone to perform some task.
However, there are likely times when you don’t want Siri audibly speaking back to you (for example, when you’re in a meeting or in the middle of a church service).
While you could always disable Siri altogether during the times when you need her to remain silent, but I prefer simply temporarily muting her voice instead.
If that sounds like a good solution to you as well, here’s how to do it:
1 – Tap the ‘Gear’ icon to open the ‘Settings’ app.
2 – Tap Siri & Search.
3 – Tap Siri Responses.
4 – Tap Only with “Hey Siri”.
That’s all there is to it. Siri will still be active but she’ll remain silent as long as you refrain from saying “”Hey Siri”.
Note: Remember to change that setting back to it’s original state when you’re ready for Siri to resume talking again.
