Today’s Quick Tip….
How to Reset your PC’s Windows 11 installation
Just like every version of Windows before it, things can go wrong at times.
And truth be told, there are some Windows issues that are so problematic that the easiest “fix” is to simply reset the entire Windows installation and basically start over from scratch.
I also like to do a full Windows reset about once a year even if there are no problems to fix.
Why? Because it allows me to wipe out any and all hidden issues that are just waiting in the shadows for a chance to pop up and start causing headaches.
Luckily, it’s quite easy to perform such a reset on a Windows 11 machine. Just follow the steps below:
1 – Click the Start button and then immediately start typing the word recovery.
2 – Select Recovery options from the list of search results.
3 – In the right-hand pane, click the Reset PC button.
4 – Choose whether you’d like to keep your user-created files or have Windows remove everything before initiating the reset by selecting the corresponding option.
5 – Follow the prompts as they appear.
That’s all there is to it. After the reset is complete you’ll be ready to reinstall all of your programs, apps and printers as well as make any settings changes that you want to make.
