Does it seem like it takes forever for your phone’s battery to fully charge when it’s plugged into your PC?
Well, it isn’t your imagination. If you have an older computer it probably has the older USB 2.0 ports, and USB 2.0 supplies a paltry amount of current to devices that are connected to it.
If you like the convenience of charging your phone by plugging it in to your PC, you can easily add several USB 3.0 ports to your existing PC and your phone will charge a lot faster.
Of course there are other great advantages of upgrading to USB 3.0 such as being able to use your USB 3.0 external hard drives at super fast speed, but just the decreased phone charging time makes it worth it in my opinion.
The good news is you can upgrade to USB 3.0 for about the cost of a decent pizza. All you have to do is buy a USB 3.0 adapter card and install it!

Adding a USB 3.0 adapter is one the best upgrades you can make to your PC. They’re dirt cheap when you consider the benefits, and the faster charge times for your mobile devices will be a blessing.
What’s more, your external USB hard drives and thumb drives will work a lot faster to boot!
Bonus tip #1: If you want to make the most of your new USB 3.0 ports you’ll also need a great charging cable.
