Listen bestie, the icon situation is absolutely unhinged right now and everyone’s just acting like this digital hellscape is totally normal.

Most platforms are creative dumpster fires where designers yeet whatever they sketched during their 3am breakdown and pray someone thinks it slaps. You’re building interfaces that look like they were designed by people who communicate exclusively through passive-aggressive Slack reactions.

The whole ecosystem has big main character energy where every icon thinks it’s starring in its own Netflix adaptation. Someone drops a house icon serving clean minimalist excellence, another designer creates a settings gear giving full cyberpunk breakdown vibes, and somehow these are supposed to coexist without starting beef over visual hierarchy. In reality, the answer should be yes (or at least fairly close).

Since there are many factors that affect the average speed of a typical high speed Internet connection, it’s unlikely that your actual upload and download speeds to will match your plan’s advertised speeds exactly.

But that being said, there shouldn’t be a whole lot of daylight between the two.
