Q&A: How do I remove a virus from my iPhone?

Posted on October 4, 2020

Question from Carol.:  A few days ago my iPhone started telling me my phone has a virus every time I open Safari.

The warning message says I need to call Apple at the number it listed and ask them to remove the virus for me.

When I called the number the woman I spoke to asked for my credit card number right off the bat.

I really need to get this virus removed but I don’t like giving my credit card number out like that.

Is there any way for me to remove the virus myself or will I have to pay Apple to remove it for me?

With that in mind, here are five things you can do to make your Facebook account as secure as possible: [Read more…]

A high-quality anti-virus program such as Avast can help keep your computer free of malware, but a special class of malware known as rootkits often goes undetected by regular virus scans.

Rootkits load into your computer’s memory before Windows even boots up, and that makes them especially difficult to find. [Read more…]

Laptops are great! They give us plenty of computing power, yet they’re easy to carry along with us when we travel.

What’s more, we can use them virtually anywhere that our daily routine takes us!

But when the battery in your laptop will no longer hold a charge, it really limits your options when you need to fire it up and get some work done.

There are many places to buy replacement laptop batteries, but my favorite is Amazon. Why? There are several reasons:  [Read more…]

Did you know you can buy a complete computer system on Amazon for less than $200?

Well, you can, and these are typically well-built business class machines!

You’ll find plenty of refurbished computer systems for sale on Amazon, many of which are indeed selling for between 100 and 200 bucks!

Of course these aren’t the latest technology machines, but they are in working order and well-suited for Internet use and many other everyday tasks such as running an office suite. [Read more…]
