Question from Judy: Hi Rick. I hope you can give me some info on buying a new TV from Amazon.
It looks like I’m going to be stuck here at home for at least a couple of months and my TV recently went out on me. It’s pretty old and I doubt if it’s worth fixing.
I really need a new TV to get me through this period of isolation but I just don’t have that kind of money right now because I was laid off from my job.
A while back you wrote an article letting us know that Amazon will sell you a computer and let you make monthly payments on it.
Can I also make monthly payments to Amazon for a new TV or does that just apply to computers?
Rick’s answer: I’m very sorry you lost your job, Judy.
I hope things turn around quickly so you and all the other folks who have lost their jobs can get back to work ASAP. We really are living through a trying time at the moment.
To answer your question, Amazon will indeed sell you a new TV and let you pay for it in monthly installments as long as you qualify for their monthly payment program.
And best of all, they won’t charge you any interest and they won’t run a credit check!
You’ll find a list of the requirements in the post you mentioned above, but if you’re a long-time Amazon customer there’s a really good chance that you’ll qualify.
If you meet the qualifications mentioned in that post all you need to do is click here (#ad) to see the excellent selection of TVs that Amazon has to offer and choose a model that’s available for purchase via a monthly payment plan (not all of them are).
By the way, in addition to computers and TVs, Amazon also sells many other types of items on their monthly installment plan. In fact, I have a friend who recently purchased a chain saw from them that way.
I hope this helps, Judy. Best of luck to you!
