I’ve been recommending the free version of Avast Antivirus to keep your PC free of malware for some time now because it does a better job at keeping your data and identity safe from hackers and scammers than most other “paid” alternatives, and it won’t slow your system down.
You’re probably aware that mobile devices have have their own security issues, and that’s why I’ve been using (and recommending) an excellent free security app called Lookout Mobile Security.
Lookout does a great job at enhancing a mobile device’s overall security, but Android users also need effective antivirus protection for their phones, tablets and other devices.
That’s where Avast comes in. They now offer an awesome (and free) antivirus solution for Android devices to fill that need.
Avast Mobile Security brings the outstanding protection of Avast Antivirus to your Android device. And like Lookout, it also offers a number of anti-theft protections as well. I’ve been using Avast Mobile Security for about a month now, and I really like it because it doesn’t seem to slow my phone down like Lookout did.
Avast Mobile Security does all of the following to help keep your phone, data and privacy safe:
- It protects your device from viruses, spyware and other types of malware.
- It helps you locate your phone if you ever lose it.
- It keeps your confidential data safe with its Remote Device Lock and Memory Wipe features.
- It includes a network meter and an app manager which help you maintain complete control of your Android device.
Hackers have recently begun attacking smart phones and other mobile devices with a vengeance, and it pays to be prepared. In my opinion there’s no better way to keep your data and your personal and financial information safe than by installing the free Avast Mobile Security app.
Bottom line: Your Android devices need protection from malware just like your computer. Avast for Android is a great choice for keeping them “clean” and running smoothly.
