Today’s featured tech tip….
Make Windows 11 tell you when a restart is required to install updates
If you have a Windows 11 PC you might have noticed that unlike Windows 10, your Windows 11 installation won’t tell you when a restart is required to install pending updates.
And truth be told, that’s something you really need to know.
Luckily, it’s very easy to force Windows 11 to notify you when new updates are pending a restart. Just follow the steps below:
1 – Right-click the Start button.
2 – Click Settings.
3 – In the left-hand pane, click Windows Update.
4 – Click Advanced options.
5 – Toggle the “Notify me when a restart is required to finish updating” setting to On.
That’s all there is to it. From now on you’ll be notified every time you need to restart your PC in order to install Windows Updates.
