Question from Dorean W.: Hi Rick! I’m teaching myself how to use Microsoft Excel and I’ve run into a problem.
I used to be able to use the arrow keys on my keyboard to move from cell to cell, but all of a sudden that has stopped working. Now the arrow keys cause the entire page to move either up and down or side to side.
Can you tell me how to fix this? My computer is running Windows 10.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Rick’s answer: Hi Dorean. I’m guessing that you have accidentally pressed your keyboard’s Scroll Lock key without realizing it. If so, there is a very easy fix. Simply press the Scroll Lock key again and your arrow keys should start working the way they did before.
I’m not familiar with the keyboard that came with your Lenovo, but you will probably find the Scroll Lock key somewhere in the vicinity of the top right-hand corner of the keyboard. It will be labeled either as Scroll Lock or some abbreviated variation of those two words.
I hope this helps Dorean. If not, let me know and I’ll tell you what to try next. Good luck!
Update from Dorean: That’s exactly what it was Rick. I actually figured it out on my own while I was waiting for your response (Yay me!!!) lol. Thanks so much for your quick answer!
