Today’s Quick Tip….
How to force Microsoft Teams to completely close every time you close the app
If you use the Microsoft Teams app you probably think closing the app also shuts the entire Teams code down cold, but it doesn’t.
When you close the app part of its code keeps running in the background, sending you notifications and performing various other tasks.
Unfortunately, those background tasks use part of your machine’s precious resources.
Of course you can always shut the app down completely via the Windows Task Manager or a Mac’s Activity Monitor, but that just wastes time if you do it often.
Luckily, you can make a simple settings change that will completely shut the app down cold every time you close it. Here’s how:
1 – Click on your profile picture in the Microsoft Teams app and select Settings from the menu.
2 – Make sure the General tab is selected, then scroll down to the “Application” section and uncheck the box beside “On close, keep the application running”.
That’s all there is to it. From now on when you close the Teams app the entire app will shut down without leaving parts of its code running in the background.

Beelink U59 Mini PC with Windows 11 Pro (#ad)
Looking for a space-saving compact desktop computer that’s actually more powerful than many comparably-priced tower PCs?
This little gem from Beelink doesn’t take up a lot of desktop space, but it has a speedy CPU, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, dual HDMI ports and more.
Note: Some units are shipped with Windows 10 Pro, which can be updated to Windows 11 Pro (at no additional charge) if desired.
Today’s post from ‘My Daily Smile’…
Would you voluntarily pay an inflated price for something?
There are things for sale online that people willingly (and knowingly) pay more than they are actually worth for. This post provides a great example.
Tech news that caught my eye…
• Elon Musk buys 9.2% of Twitter, making him the largest individual shareholder
• The four-day work week is coming, so you’d better get ready
• Google change keeps Android users safe from unused apps
• Why Windows 11 adoption just hit a wall
• Teenage cybercrime gang LAPSUS$ strikes again
