Today’s featured tech tip….
Why you should periodically open Google Play on your Chromebook
If you have a Chromebook you probably only open the Google Play Store when you’re looking to install a new app.
But truth be told, you need to open it on a regular basis even if you don’t plan to install any additional apps.
Why? Well, there are two reasons:
1 – Google Play has a Play Protect feature that will scan your installed apps to see if any of them are potentially dangerous or harmful in any way.
2 – The Play Store app can also ensure that your installed apps are updated to their latest versions. This is important because non-updated apps can pose a serious security risk.
The articles I linked to above have more info about these benefits of opening the Google Play Store on your Chromebook, including instructions for using the tools.
