I can tell you from personal experience that passing the exams to become an A+ Certified Computer Technician is no walk in the park. Although I passed the exams on my first try, I had to prepare for them by reading every A+ training guide I could get my hands on.
But if I had to study for the A+ exams today, I would only need one training package. It’s titled the CompTIA A+ Certification All-in-One Exam Guide, and it truly includes everything you need in order to pass both of the A+ exams (220-801 & 220-802).
This amazingly comprehensive book contains almost 1,600 pages of PC troubleshooting theory and instructions as well as practical tips for troubleshooting virtually every possible computer hardware and O.S. problem imaginable.
But there’s a lot more to this package than just the book. You’ll also get a virtual media library that includes the following:
– Over 60 episodes of video training.
– Over 250 CompTIA A+ lab simulations that cover new performance-based questions, including OS simulations, drag-and-drop simulations, and other question formats.
– An updated question database with hundreds of practice questions that allow you to customize exams by chapter or by exam domain, in addition to generating a complete practice exam.
Back when I took the A+ Certification exams, I had to prepare for them by assembling an assortment of training materials from a variety of sources. But thanks to this comprehensive package, you can avoid all of that and concentrate entirely on studying for the exams and talking lots of practice tests.
In short, I only recommend one A+ Certification training package these days, and this is it. If it’s on the exams, it’s covered – and it’s covered well!
