Today’s featured tech tip….
Got arthritic fingers? Change this setting on your MacBook.
If you have arthritic fingers you probably have difficulty ‘clicking’ your laptop’s trackpad, but luckily there’s a handy setting than can help (a lot).
It’s called ‘Tap to Click’ and it works by letting you simply tap the trackpad instead of having to forcibly press down on it in order to ‘click’ it.
For whatever reason, this handy feature is turned off by default on MacBooks. If you’d like to give it a try you can easily enable it by following the steps below:
1 – Click the Apple icon on the the top menu bar.
2 – Click System Settings.
3 – Click Trackpad.
4 – Select the Point & Click tab.
5 – Turn on the Tap to click option.
That’s all there is to it. Now you can give your arthritic fingers a break by just tapping your MacBook’s trackpad instead of pressing down to ‘click’ it.
